GRAPHIC DESIGN PUBLICATION
KABK Stoor is a concept store, featuring unique artistic contributions by students and alumni from the Royal Academy of Art, the Hague. The visual identity and grid are based on the modular interior system of the Stoor.
The aim of the campaign is to melt the boundaries between art and business, where graphic identity would function as an interpretation of Nietzsche’s philosophical dualistic concept of Apollonian and Dionysian. (Apollonian force is defined as structure, control and focus, while Dionysian embraces chaos, irrationality and celebration.) The life of a modern young artist can be understood as an interplay and struggle between the Apollonian and the Dionysian worlds, where in Stoor two worlds try to unify. Advertising clichés are used as slogans to bridge the gap between art and business in a humorous manner. Visual identity made with guidance of Gert Dumbar at Studio KABK.
